School Days - Memories.. The ERA of READYMADE

The ERA of READYMADE

Yet another addition to the post of my school memories J
Casting the same two great personalities Govind and Kamesh

Govind used to possess the greatest technical skills when we were in the 8th standard
Here the technical skills refer to the ways he used to write slips
While the whole class is busy in either preparing for the exam by mugging/memorizing/mesmerizing/planning events for mass copying
This guy used to sharp his pencils .. YES!! you heard it right!! he used to roam around and ask all our buddies for two or three gunshot questions that will make us get through the test and then take
A White Reynolds pen
A blade and an
Apsara big white Eraser

The pen is not for writing answers with, it’s for writing answers on it same case with the apsara eraser and the blades :)
Govind was always accompanied by Appu and Kamesh
Appu always used to have plan B where as Kamesh doesn’t used to have any plans because he used to use the existing plans of govind and appu

Coming to the funniest incident
As usual we had our exam in open air on a bright mid sunny day everything was going fine …
Appu Govind and Kamesh were sitting beside each other in a same row, no idea what was wrong with the invigilator appu was made sit somewhere far away from the crowd where all of us kept our Tiffin boxes ..
but his plan B worked .. though he missed the cooperation from Kamesh and govind
he had some answers written on the tiffin box,, :D

In the next scene
kamesh was asking govind for an answer ..
Govind throwd a blade at him ..
Kamesh was puzzled and was wondering why the hell did this fellow gave him a blade for an answer ..
He probed govind again for the answer
Govind responded by saying that the answer is written on the blade .. :D

It took ample time for kamesh to come out of the shock but before it was too late he started acting up on the blade ..
One should look at the struggles that fellow faced for reading the answer written with a pencil on a stainless steel blade that too under a bright sun ..
Though he wanted to see and write the answer he could see nothing except the reflection of the sun in the blade … A bright glare … it’s a different issue that he struggled a lot by creating some shade protecting it from sunlight and further succeeding in reading the answer
but that would make one feel that reading the syllabus is better than mal practicing :D

****
Apart from this we had another innovative style of copying in the 8th standard…
One of our teachers used to give us all the important questions for the coming test she used to give Ten important questions out of which 5 will come in the next day’s exams ….. Her basic intention was to put less burden on the students but she was not aware of the heights of our innovation
Almost three fourth of us followed a four step policy for facing the next day’s exam of that teacher
1.Steal an answer sheet
2.Trust god and choose 5 questions from the important questions
3.Write those answers in the answer sheet
4.Submit the same answer sheet after teachers signature the next day..meanwhile you have to make sure that you should be good in pretending that you are writing something when the teacher is around for the invigilation

This concept went on well and we even named this as “READYMADE ANSWER SHEET”

The moment when the teacher used to write the questions for the test on the blackboard used to be the greatest moments
If your trust on god and your probability of choosing the question works last but not least if you aren’t noticed and you aren’t caught then you would be the topper in that subject 
That’s the reason you would see some peculiar reactions in our class at the moment when our teacher used to write the questions on the board
You could hear someone shouting “YES” unable to control their emotion
You can see someone disappointed as none of his answers
You can even see the default unprepared ones cursing themselves for neither preparing nor preparing a READY MADE
Up on everything you could see the female faces puzzled and wondered why are the boys carrying his excitement .. Their curiosity always used to kill them :D

While this was going on fine one day one of our class mates gave big shock which is yet another hilarious event in this READY MADE episode
Guess what did he do
He dint trust God
He was poor in probability ..
He was successful in stealing an answer sheet and ..
He was written answers for all the questions in the paper with additional :D
The only thing which he did after mam wrote the questions was … striking off all the answers in his READY MADE which were not a part of the question paper …. :D probably this was considered as the down fall of our innovative concept called “READYMADE “
If anyone has to be cursed then it’s this fellow who was lazy and couldn’t study, couldn’t guess and made everyone feel that his brain should be kept in a museum as it has been used only once for such a destructive cause :D…..

To be continued…
