School Days ...

No matter how old you are and no matter what you do almost every one will have a bunch of memories in their school days.

Days that we spend as a student will never come back.

Well now all you need to have is a bit of patience for bearing some of my funny memories at school and college

Beginning With Class VIII

We used to have a Telugu Teacher who used to make us battify* the poems

(here battifying refers to by-heart ing, I have my own set of words which we added to dictionary :P)

In this process of battifying he used to read out the poem loud ( where in he used to exhibit his dramatic skills, I guess he wished to be a stage actor and missed it)

and we should repeat saying it.

The sir was one of the senior most teachers our ages inversely proportional to his experience.

So one day it went on like this

Sir:విద్య నిగూఢ గుప్తమగు విత్తము

We(in chorus): విద్య నిగూఢ గుప్తమగు విత్తము

Sir:విద్య యశస్సు భోగ కరీ

We(in chorus): విద్య యశస్సు భోగ కరీ

Sir:విద్య గురుండు (cough cough cough.. and he was spitting out of the window which made a sound kkkkkkk thuuuu)

We(in chorus): విద్య యశస్సు భోగ కరీ cough cough kkkkkkkk thu :) :)

Coming to another day

The Same Telugu sir was explaining us about గురుత్వాకరణ శక్తి (Gravitational Force )

I used to feel that word as a tongue twister, because i used to stammer in those days :)

So that day it went like this

Sir: మీకు గురుత్వాకరణ శక్తి అంటే ఏంటో తెలుసా

We: తెలియదు సార్ ( actually if he had used the word Gravitational force everyone would have answered it)

Sir: గురుత్వాకరణ శక్తి అంటే Gravitational force

(We were wondering why is this fellow saying about this now but what ever he said no one bothered as it was the last hour :) before the long bell to home.)

Sir: గురుత్వాకరణ శక్తి అంటే Gravitational force

ఇప్పుడు మనం ఏదైన వస్తువుని తీసుకుని గాలి లోకి విసిరితే ఎమౌతుంది?( what will happen if we throw an object into air)

We:కింద పడుతుంది (It will fall down)

Sir: కదా!! కానీ ఎందుకు పడుతుందో మీరు ఎప్పుడైనా ఆలోచించారా ? లేదు
ఇస్సాక్ న్యూటన్ ఆలోచించాడు
అలా ఆ ఆలోచన రావటం మూలంగానే గురుత్వాకరణ శక్తి గురించి కనుక్కున్నడు

(Have you ever thought why does an object thrown into air falls down? No

Sir Issac newton has thought about it, and as a result he found about Gravitational Force)

Sir: అర్థమయ్యిందా

We: No Sirrrr..... ( The standard answer which we would give every time )

This time he thought of demonstrating it practically as the Actual Result dint match with his Expected Result ( err sorry for referring to techie terms :) kyaa karu control nahi hotaa :))

He took a duster and was holding it and was saying

చూడండి రా ఇప్పుడు నేను దీన్ని పైకి వేస్తాను

వేసిన వెంటనే ఎమౌతుందీ ??

and throw ed the duster up which went and got stuck in the ventilator of our class room and fall down ( the path of his projectile was exactly a parabola u know :D )

We: No more questions No More Answers

Long bell............. All the sheep ,,,,,,, back to home ,,,,,,,

We still remember this as one of the funniest moments in my school days

and I am sure you do have one.
